Kelly stays true to his values by fighting for conservative policies, remaining trustworthy, and providing you with the simple truth and facts you deserve.

As a senior member of the House and one who chairs numerous committees, he continues to help bring about one of the best periods of economic security in North Carolina’s history by keeping his promises, protecting the hard-working taxpayers, and cutting red tape.

As a former Transportation Committee chairman, Kelly is proud of helping to prioritize hundreds of millions of dollars of transportation projects, including many in our area. These projects are fostering economic security by helping to maintain good jobs and attract new ones.

Kelly especially enjoys helping constituents break through red tape in order to hold government accountable.

He voted to raise pay for teachers and state employees, and he voted to cut taxes for everyone in the public and private sectors.

Kelly is thankful to have been the lead sponsor of over 25 bills and resolutions that became law or passed, respectively.

The National Rifle Association (NRA), the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), North Carolina Right to Life and other reputable organizations have expressed their support, and he received the Defender of Public Safety Award from the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association.

As a strong supporter of national defense and first responders, Kelly also earned the Civilian Meritorious Service Medal from the Adjutant General of the North Carolina National Guard for passing into law strategic, statutory changes to the selection criteria for the Adjutant General. The changes help ensure the Adjutant General can meet federal requirements for promotion to General Officer with National Guard experience.
